Leverage is the power to control a lot with just a little. In the business world there are five kinds of leverage.

1. OPM- Other People’s Money. You can see a great example of that with real estate investors. But if you are a part of any MLM company you are using that leverage also. After all someone else invested money in developing product, producing it, and starting the company, advertising, etc.

2. OPE- Others People’s Experience. It takes too long to learn for yourself, so borrow or learn from others. Read books, attend seminars, and follow the wealthy and successful.

3. OPI- Other People’s Ideas. Your objective should be to associate with people who can share with you their powerful moneymaking ideas.

4. OPT- Other People’s Time. Leverage yourself with professionals who are excellent and unique at employing their ideas.

5. OPW- Other People’s Work. Most people prefer regular job, they choose security over opportunity. Hire and delegate to others everything that you can’t or don’t want to do.

So how do you use those ideas in your internet business?

It is really simple. If you are reading it you are either already a business developer in some MLM company or think about becoming involved. Think about it, you are joining a company that already has a product or a service. Right now you are benefiting from all of the five forms of leverage. You most likely don’t have the money that it would require to start development of new product, testing it and then approving it for the market distribution. It was somebody else’s idea, experience, time, money and effort. The biggest part is done. Your job now is to distribute and promote it. You still need to leverage your efforts here. Learn from someone with experience and success. Develop your skills. Don’t be fooled that anyone can go to the market and sell anything, it is a practiced skill set that will be one of your biggest assets. One of the biggest leverage tools today is the internet. Even if you have a success in your warm market, learn how to expend your business to the wider audience.

These are the things you need to work on if you bringing your business to the internet.

First you need to have a good website and funnel system in place that you can drive prospects to. If you don’t have a website, you can’t make money online. I know of some affiliate programs where you can get in with no cost, but if you’re going to try and make money with your MLM business on the internet without at least getting a website, you’re going about it the wrong way.

The next step would be to learn how to get traffic to your website from different sources. Your goal should be to get a minimum of 100 visitors a day to your website.
After you learn how to create traffic, you need to learn the step by step process to improving your page so that your visitors turn into leads, and this is a skill set all on its own. Traffic that converts to sales is an invaluable asset.
The final step is learning how to take your leads, build a long term relationship with them, and profit from them again and again. This is the skill of the master online marketer, understanding that we are not only building a business, but we are building a base of relationships that we can continue to connect with and do business with for the months and years ahead.
